Now you can help The Animal Rescue Site choose which eligible Petfinder.com animal rescue organizations will receive special funds to help animals! Participating is simple. You can cast one vote every day for your favorite rescue. The Animal Rescue Site is a "Click to Give" website. You can click on a button to help fund food and care for animals. It's free, and only takes a second of your time. Click every day!
Eligible organizations with the most votes could receive a weekly prize and/or one of the other grants below! More than 73 grants will be awarded for a total of $100,000 going to eligible Petfinder.com members by the end of December 2009.
LETS SEE HOW MANY VOTES GREYHOUND FRIENDS OF NJ CAN GET!
Voting begins January 18th, 2010, and ends at midnight (PST) on April 18th, 2010.
The more friends you can rally to vote for your favorite rescue organization, the better its chances of winning.

Weekly winners** will be announced throughout the contest. Fifteen weekly prizes of $1,000 will be awarded.
Winners of the following will be announced on December 21, 2009.
Grand Prize: One $10,000 grant!
Honorable Mention: Three $3,000 grants!
State Winners: Fifty-one $1,000 state grants (50 U.S. states and Washington D.C.)
Canadian Winners: Two $1,000 grants will be awarded
International Winner: Two $1,000 grants will be awarded.
Weekly Winners: Twenty-Six $1,000 grants will be awarded, two for each week of the Shelter+ Challenge.
If you'd like to help, here's what you do:
1) Click on the above button to go to the Animal Rescue Site.
2) Click on the big purple button "Click Here to Give"on the top of the page -
by doing this you give the value of .6 bowls of food to rescued animals.
3) DO NOT STOP when you see "Your click has been counted"!
(this applies to the food for rescued animals).
You must go above that and click on "Vote now"
4) In the Shelter Name box,
type Greyhound Friends*
or Greyhound Friends of NJ*
or Greyhound Friends of New Jersey Inc
Select NJ from the State drop down box.
-or-
Select NJ from the State drop down list. All of the rescue groups from NJ will appear.
In the Shelter Name box, type Greyhound*
A list of the greyhound groups in NJ will display - select Greyhound Friends of New Jersey Inc
5) Click the "VOTE" button.
6) THEN, CONFIRM YOUR VOTE!
