Lara recently arrived with her friends from Puerto Rico and we are happy to welcome her. Lara is a Sato dog which is a street or beach dog from Puerto Rico. The Sato refers to a variety of small to medium-sized stray dog. Satos are similar in appearance to small Pointers or Terriers. These free-ranging dogs are known to make excellent family pets. Unlike other feral dogs, the Satos have a small territory, and many are always in contact with people. Lara was described by the veterinarians in PR who vetted her as a German Shepherd mix. Whatever she is, she is just precious. Her adoption fee is $500.

Lara is approximately 2 years old and described by the folks who cared for her in Puerto Rico as being good with dogs and kids. She is approximately 40 pounds. She is very friendly and happy and just seems to want to please. She was workable with cats but would best without a cat as she was very interested in the cat.
