About Muka

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Color: Black

Muka is an adorable girl who we recently welcomed from Puerto Rico. Muka is a Sato dog which is a street or beach dog. The Sato refers to a variety of small to medium-sized stray dogs.  Satos are similar in appearance to small Pointers or Terriers. These free-ranging dogs are known to make excellent family pets. Unlike other feral dogs, the Satos have a small territory, and many are always in contact with people.

Muka was rescued from the beach in Punta Santiago with her two older puppies (one of them is Mika 2 who we also welcomed). The rescue folks in Punta Santiago reported that "Muka is great with other dogs, super loving and affectionate, and good with cats. She just wants a family that will love on her."   Muka weighs about 50 pounds.
