Kylie is a precious young girl who we recently welcomed along with her sister, Target and Marina, from Texas. Kylie is only 9 months old and needs to learn that life can be good, and she can be loved. She is reticent about her new surroundings and will need TLC but we could tell that she really wants to relax. She is a gentle girl and really feels most comfortable in the companionship of another dog.  She is especially attached to her sister, Target and vice versa, however, they do not need to be adopted together.     Kylie is cat tolerant.  We are looking for a fenced yard for her so that she can explore and gain confidence in a safe haven.

FOSTER UPDATE 8/7/2022

Kylie is a one year old 34lb terrier mix who we lovingly refer to as a brillo pad with legs! When she came to GFNJ she was so paralyzed with fear that she would not walk and would cower at attention. Since then, she has blossomed into a spunky, playful, and cuddly little girl! She is still cautious in new situations, prefers to be a homebody rather than go out and explore, and is still learning to walk on leash- she much rather prefers to run around in the backyard! Kylie loves to play with her foster siblings, chew on bones, sit in the window barking at people passing by, and take naps on the sofa. She is house broken, crate trained, and good with dogs and cats.  

Kylie has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia and arthritis. She had a Triple Pelvis Osteotomy performed in May on her left side and has been doing great since surgery! Kylie will need to continue to be kept at a healthy weight and on a joint supplement (costs about $8 a month) for the rest of her life. She gets around just fine, loves to run and play, but does need activity restriction so she does not over do it! She does require pet stairs to help her get onto furniture and needs to be restricted from jumping off however she knows the stairs are for her and uses them with no problem!  

Foster Update 11/1/2022
Kylie is a one year old mixed breed canine! She loves to play with other dogs, sit on the couch snuggled up binge watching tv, lay in the window barking at people walking by and chew on bones! Kiki is dog, cat, kid, and bird friendly. She would do great with other dogs in the house or as an only pet.   She does need a house with a limited number of stairs due to having hip dysplasia which has been medically treated.
