Go Green For Greyhounds Clothing Drive Fundraiser

Go Green for Greyhounds Clothing Drive Fundraiser

Greyhound Friends of NJ is hosting a clothing drive fundraiser. This effort will help keep our landfills free of clothing and each pound collected will generate cash to help adopt retired racing greyhounds into loving homes.

We will be collecting clean, usable and wearable clothing, shoes and accessories , also soft household items, i.e. bedding, curtains, tablecloths, and towels. Also welcome are hard toys and stuffed animals.

All donated items must be in tied plastic bags such as garbage or shopping bags.

Greyhound Friends of NJ's volunteers will be collecting your donated items at the following locations:

9th Annual L'Oreal "Because Your Dog Is Worth It Day"

Join over 5000 humans and 2300 dogs at a fun dog friendly event in Cranbury NJ. Events include: NJ State Puppy Limbo Championship, Costume Contest, Dock Diving, hay Maze race, Human bone stacking contest, multiple breed races, dog high jump, dog wash. life size dog-o-poly board game, over 10 dog swimming pools. Over 100 pet industry manufacturers and vendors as well as 60 non profit/rescues in attendance. The "most fun a dog and their owner can have in one day"! Free doggie bag to all pre-registered attendees. Food, music, and kids games.

GFNJ had a table at this event last year and it was lots of fun and good attendance. Dogs MUST be “other dog” friendly, as this is a day for dogs and their owners, so many other breeds of dogs are present — both large and small.

Adult admission is $10. All proceeds collected by the event organizers go to benefit the Susan G Koman Race for the Cure.
