Morristown St Patrick's Day Parade

MORRISTOWN ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE
GFNJ will once again participate in the annual Morristown St. Patrick's Day parade held on Saturday, March 9th. We gather at 200 South Street, across from Kings by 11:00am. The parade kicks off by noon and they close the streets so the need to get there by 11:00 is crucial (no later then 11:30!).
Please decorate your dog with an "Irish theme" and our green Greyhound Friends coats will be at hand.

From Route 80
Take Route 287 South
Go about three miles to Madison Avenue exit
At end of ramp turn right onto Madison Avenue
Go 100” to traffic light, bear right onto South Street
Go past Municipal Building (on right) to first traffic light/Elm Street
Turn right onto Elm Street
Turn onto the first street on the right, Franklin Street
Go 300 ‘ and turn right into the parade lot
Parking is available in various municipal lots, on street parking (not available on the parade route) and near the end of the parade route by Morristown High School. It is recommended that wherever possible, parade participants carpool to the parade site.

Calling All Passaic and Bergen County Greyhounds for the weekly Sunday Greyhound Walk.
Every Sunday, weather permitting, there's an informal Greyhound Walk around Van Saun Park in Paramus. The longest distance we walk is just under 2 miles, but it's easy to bail out at anytime if you or your pooch is pooped. And speaking of pooped... here's the details:
Bring: Something to pick up the poop.
Place: Van Saun Park Paramus. Parking Lot #5 (The Pony Rides)
Time: 9 am Sundays.

Please bring: a bottle of water, a non-flexi leash, cleanup bags, and your walking shoes!
Plan to walk about 45 minutes or until your dog is too tired!

Clinton Township Community Day

The day is sponsored by the Girl Scouts, and the event has something to interest everyone.
GFNJ will have adoptable dogs from our Prison Program at this event. Although there is a lot going on, it is superbly run and the dogs are in a quieter area where we can see and be seen, but easy to stretch out and relax.
We are looking for volunteers to help us with prison dogs since we'd like to have at least 5-6 attend.

Join GFNJ for an evening of fun on Saturday, April 27th from 6pm to 9pm. Take a walk down memory lane and play unlimited pinball and arcade games from the 1930's to the present!
The cost of a ticket will provide you with unlimited play, food and refreshments, and a happy heart! Tickets are $30.00 and are being sold in advance.
