Every Sunday, weather permitting, there's an informal Greyhound Walk around Van Saun Park in Paramus. The longest distance we walk is just under 2 miles, but it's easy to bail out at anytime if you or your pooch is pooped. And speaking of pooped... here's the details:
Bring: Something to pick up the poop.

Greyhound Friends of NJ Greyt Annual Garage Sale - July 12 & 13
Once again this year GFNJ will be having an annual garage sale in Belleville, NJ at the home of Ellen Ganopoulos.
All proceeds from the event are donated to GFNJ and your donations of new/used household items, surplus goods, bric-a-brac and what-nots are welcomed!
Items can be dropped off between July 5th and July 11th and volunteers, as well as shoppers, are needed for this event.
Sale will be held on July 12th & 13th (rain date July 19th & 20th)

Drop off starts on July 5th and items can be dropped off anytime in the yard if the weather is nice, call ahead to drop off if the weather is rainy.

Please join us for an easy, fun day in Victorian Belvidere. We use Nancy’s house as “home base,” set up a GFNJ table in the front yard, and meet & greet from porch and yard while some of us walk the short block to the Green and stroll the perimeter with our gorgeous greys (we have replica Victorian male and female hats for those of you who dress your dogs).
There’s no set schedule, we just get out and mingle! We don’t take our dogs near the craft vendors on the interior area, so we take turns watching each other’s dogs so anyone who would like to check those items out has opportunity. Terrific antique car show surrounds the green. Dogs and humans can relax on the porch, shaded fenced back yard, or inside with the a/c whatever works best. Dogs who can’t M&G on the Green can hang at the house with two of mine who can’t go to the green when there are “strangers.” We make sure there’s always someone at the house so your dogs are not exhausted and you don’t spend the whole day with a leash on your wrist. The house is small, but we always seem to fit J
Start time is 10:00, ending about 3:00. Bring yourself, dog(s) and a chair. I will provide breakfast cake for carb/sugar to get you started, we make coffee in the house, and I’ll have cold drinks in the cooler. There are plenty of food vendors around the green for lunch!

P.S. We may have a dog groomer who will cut nails available during the afternoon. Let me know ASAP if you could use this service and for how many dogs, so I can try to set it up!

Calling All Passaic and Bergen County Greyhounds for the weekly Sunday Greyhound Walk.
Every Sunday, weather permitting, there's an informal Greyhound Walk around Van Saun Park in Paramus. The longest distance we walk is just under 2 miles, but it's easy to bail out at anytime if you or your pooch is pooped. And speaking of pooped... here's the details:
Bring: Something to pick up the poop.

Come join us for Warwick's famous annual Applefest in Warwick, NY.
APPLEST 2014 in beautiful Warwick, NY is a craft fair attended by over 30,000 people from all over the tri-state area.
GFNJ has had a booth and been a staple at this event for more than 10 years!!! We are given a special area to spread out and have dogs at our booth all day.
We need volunteers with and without dogs.
Your dog must be good in a crowd, friendly and pretty tolerant.
Last year we had some new volunteers and they were astounded by the reach of this event and how much exposure it gives GFNJ.
Even though it is a distance, those volunteers are returning!
