FDA Continues to Caution Dog Owners About Chicken Jerky Products

ADOPTION DAY ~ Sunday, January 29th 10-12 ~ Tabernacle Bed & Biscuit

The Alabama greys are coming!! We are always happy to welcome the greys from Birmingham--they have traditionally been such lovely boys and girls--I was lucky enough to adopt one myself.

We will be welcoming 10 of these beauties who will be looking for forever families with comfy beds and for foster homes. These and some greyt fosters will be featured at an Adoption Day on Sunday, January 29th from 10 a.m. to noon (PLEASE NOTE TIME) at Tabernacle Bed & Biscuit, 46 Carranza Road, Tabernacle, NJ. As always, we will be happy to screen any applications this week to allow folks to adopt on January 29th. Please apply on-line.

	Billygs Devildog is a black 3 year boy who is described by the folks at the track as sweet--of course we will know more about him and all of the others at a later date
	Black Oaks Della is a red 2-year-old girl who is described as "quiet but not shy."
	Dakotas Muleburg is a 4-year-old white and black boy who is described as "fun and loves kids."
	Gable Joseywales is a 2 year old dark red boy who is described as "quiet and reserved and he sticks to his trainer's side". A Velcro boy!!
	Gable Razor is a black 2 year old boy who is described as "quiet, sweet".
	Gls Snookie is a 2 year old black female who is described as "nice, sweet and friendly and does not have big hair." Any Jersey Shore fans???
	Go Free B is a fawn brindle 2-year-old girl who is the sister to Go Free Z. We love these family affairs and are so fortunate to be able to help them.

	MB Steamroller is a fawn 2-year-old boy who is described as "friendly, sweet, calm."
	Oaks Lone Angel is a red 2-year-old girl who is described as "quiet but not shy."

HUMAN and ANIMAL BLOOD DRIVE - 2/14 10am - 4pm

Help celebrate the human-animal bond by joining NorthStar VETS, in collaboration with

the American Red Cross, for our first human/animal blood drive.

The blood drive will be held from 10am until 4pm.

General Eligibility For Dogs and Cats

1. Healthy and easy to work with

2. Current on vaccines

3. Between ages of 1y - 8y

4. Dogs must weigh a min of 50lbs; Cats 12lbs

5. Not on any medications

6. Cats must be indoor only

*we regret that Japanese breed dogs, such as Shiba Inu's and Akita's, are not eligible to donate nor are dogs who have been bred in the past.

Refreshments and treats will be provided to both humans and animals.

All dogs and cats blood screening is at no charge!

Favor Tasha, what a pretty girl. She’s a good size and will make a wonderful pet. Tasha joined our Prison Foster Program where she’s receiving the TLC she needs to gain a little confidence. She’s being obedience trained and is housebroken. Who could ask for more?

Update on Florida Bill - 1/18/2012

Since the Florida Bill to decouple greyhound racing from poker at that state's tracks did not make it to the final vote in 2011, it is being represented in the upcoming session. We'll be watching closely as the outcome could mean track closures and thousands of greyhounds in dire need.
