About Ryder

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Color: Red

Spry Express who is now named "Ryder" was recently relinquished due to no fault. He and the other greyhound in the home Reece were both returned and are in foster homes. They were well loved in their homes but the family could no longer keep them. Ryder is described by his adopter as an "amazing boy" who is good with people and other dogs. He is good with kids and is housetrained. He walks well on leash and is able to do steps. Ryder is in a foster home and adjusting well to his new environment. Ryder wil be 4 years old in November.

Spry Express is the cutest little boy with a sweet face. We welcomed Express and his brother, Missile--both are timid and need some TLC.  Express needs the companionship of another greyhound to show him "the ropes" of retirement and that there is nothing to fear. These types of boys just pull at our hearts and really need a loving home to call their own. Won't you consider Express or his brother, Missile.  Express is 2 years old and is cat tolerant.

Foster Update 3/1/2017

Spry Express is such a happy boy.

He gets along with children and gently takes treats.

Spry walks nicely on the leash next to me and stops when

I stop.  Spry loves his food, but doesn’t

Counter serf.  What a good boy!

Foster Update 1/3/2017

Spry Express
"You will fall in love when you meet Spry.
He is quite handsome, with big auburn eyes and red fawn fur!
Spry is very sweet and playful, and loves to cuddle.  He loves his toys.
Spry is 2 years old, and is looking for his new best friend!"

10/25/2016 Prison Foster Handler Update:
"Spry is a very nice dog. He is also shy and gets scared easily. He is not loud and does not bark. He is potty-trained but does like to be with a person or other dog. All he needs is lots of love and care. I think he would be good around good kids, adults and the elderly.  He is not hard to walk at all and does not push or pull. He likes to sleep and loves walks. He is a sweetheart and would be great with a caring family?
