FOSTER MOM:: HoJo is a GFNJ return as he was overwhelmed by very small children.. Someone whose opinion I respect very much once told me that the "returns" make the best pets of all. Maybe because they've had a glimpse of life as a pet, they are extra grateful for a real forever home? All I know is I have adopted two "returns" myself and I would adopt this guy too, if I could! HoJo is definitely an extremely nice, easy boy and a pleasure to foster. He has blended in seamlessly with my pack, and was actually cockroaching contentedly within a few hours of his arrival. Never having a fenced yard before, he obviously enjoys it but would be content with nice walks to get his exercise. Since he walks beautifully on a leash, either alone or with the other dogs, walks are very enjoyable. He's a smart boy who has learned a new household routine extremely quickly, including which bowl belongs to him, having a foster mother who works full time, how to walk around town "neatly" with 3 other dogs, how to go up and down a full flight of stairs, and to wake Mom if she keeps turning off the snooze alarm in the morning! Hojo is perfectly housebroken and has no need of a crate or containment since he has impeccable house manners. He's been friendly to everyone, whether on walks, at the fence, or visitors to the house, but is never pushy for attention. He's definitely a dog you will fall in love with very quickly. HoJo will attend an upcoming Meet & Greet if he's not adopted before then, if you would like to meet him.
Hojo Topaz just turned 5 years old--a perfect age--he is correctable with a cat.
