SWEET BOY

About Walnut

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Color: Red

Walnut is the sweetest boy--he was recently relinquished through no fault of his own. He's back in his foster home and here is the foster mom's update:

Walnut is a very handsome 4 yr old boy who came to us with a broken leg which has healed wonderfully.  He is a shy boy but with some patience he will fit into a quiet home and become a wonderful addition to the right home.  Walnut needs a fenced yard, attached to the home so he can go right outside when necessary, with out going on a walk.

He goes on walks on secluded trails, but does not enjoy walking around our neighborhood with all its cars and school buses, and strangers
Walnut lives with 2 cats and 2 other greys, including his BFF, Giselle, who is also looking for a home. He is a quiet boy who plays with stuffies occasionally and will come put his head on your lap for some love and attention. A real sweetheart when given the chance.

Original Posting

RJC's Walnut is such a handsome boy. He had the misfortune to break his leg while racing but we were happy that we were able to take him and get him the needed surgery to repair his leg.  He is in a foster home and recuperating nicely.

Foster Update:

Walnut is such a sweet and happy boy despite having suffered a broken leg while racing at the track. He is going to be 4yrs old in June and gets along fine with my 2 cats and other dogs.
Walnut would like to have a fenced yard as he sometimes just doesn't want to walk. He is very silly in that he doesn't seem afraid of cars but insists on stopping and staring at them when they go by. The loud buses and trucks do bother him and he heads back to the house when they come through the neighborhood.
We have taken Walnut to M&G's  to get him adjusted to other people as he can be a little reserved. He will go up to new people and lets them pet him, but he is still a little hesitant at first. He comes to greet us when we come home but doesn't demand too much attention, he settles in quite nicely on his bed and is really a quiet boy. Please consider adding Walnut to your family.
