Slatex Combine is one handsome boy who was described by one of the volunteers as "elegant and regal looking." I would have to agree--Combine is a gorgeous, tall boy who is very sweet and friendly. He seems to be one of those boys who is a real moosh. He also walks nicely on leash. Combine will be 6 in February--a little older than some but he is just coming off of the track after a not so illustrious career. He really needs and wnats a comfortable bed and a family to call his own. This sweet boy is cat tolerant with supervision. Slatex Combine easily found a foster home because he's such a sweet boy. Here is a short update from his foster mom:

Foster Update 3/2/2012
Slatex is doing great. Mastered the stairs in 2 days. Gets along fine with my other 2 greys and is easily redirected from the cat. He listens very well. Tell him no once and he gets it. Totally housebroken, no accidents, sleeps all night, no counter-surfing, loves food but knows not to touch anyone elses. (at least while I'm watching) He knows what "wait" means and usually lies down on command. Loves his walks, walks well on the leash and is not enticed by the squirrels ets. he encounters. Very confident, isn't spooked by anything. Very playful, acts like a 2 year old. He's a big boy but he does not jump up.
