WW Clear the Way is a gorgeous, stately boy who is a real head-turner.  The volunteers today suggested that he looks like he walked off of a painting of greyhounds or he looks like a real show dog.  On top of good looks, Clear the Way is friendly and playful but listens well and is respectful.  At first he get excited to go outside but he soon settles in and trots and prances nicely on leash beside the person walking him.  He is 3 years old and although he likes people, no cats, please.
Foster Update 1/29/2014

Here is our foster update: We are completely in love with this boy & only the thought that we would not be able to foster any time soon is stopping us from keeping him!

He’s very curious & confident; he’s willing to stick his nose in everything once. Like most greyhounds, the kitchen is his favorite room & he will definitely counter surf if given the opportunity but he corrects easily.

He’s extremely intelligent. It’s only been 4 days & he’s already learned our nickname for him, the word ‘baño’ (for potty time), the word ‘yum-yum’, and the commands ‘go to bed’ & ‘go inside’.

His only truly bad habit is jumping on people for attention, affection, & food but we’re working on correcting this.   It would seem that he would do best in a home without small children because of his size and exuberant nature.  He would most likely be fine with older children.  He has yet to learn to respect our other greys space and he unintentionally can step on them in a clueless way.  Some greys may take issues with this.  We are working with him to be more aware of the other dogs’ space.

 He adores stuffies, looking out windows, massages, kisses, & hugs. He will let you kiss his face repeatedly, lie on his bed with him, & touch him everywhere. He will also let you hug & pet him while he eats. He quietly tolerates bathing, ear-cleaning, & teeth-brushing for the most part. If you are sitting, he will try to climb in your lap (we are working on putting a stop to that as well

We are  going to try & attend the M&Gs in Edison on 2/16 & in Somerville on 2/22.
