BI's Mirage is a very pretty little girl. She's very friendly, calm but playful, very affectionate and a leaner. She walks great on leash. Mirage is just one sweet, sweet peanut. She is 3 years old and cat tolerant with supervision.
Foster Update 7/18/2014
Her name may be Mirage, but you're not seeing things - this little girl is for real! As our foster, Mirage has been an absolute delight to host in our home. She is polite, yet fun. She walks well on a leash and completely ignores our three cats. She also gets along with our two greyhounds and our children, ages nine and twelve.
During the day, Mirage is crated while we are at work - she goes into the crate without hesitation. At night, she sleeps on a dog bed next to our bed. Mirage has mastered the stairs and walks well on our wood/laminate/tile flooring. She has had no accidents in the house and alerts us when she wants to go for a walk or out in our fenced-in yard.
Mirage is an affectionate girl who shadows us wherever we are, yet she does not get underfoot. She has a quiet presence and an air of calm about her. At the same time, she is a happy girl who has been enjoying the life of new discovery that retirement has afforded her. Mirage is intelligent, as demonstrated by her curiosity, and has been quick to learn the ropes of house living and our family's routine.
Judging from Mirage's confidence, she would do well as either an only dog or with other dogs, greyhound or not. She will also do well in a home with cats. She is adorable - from the big brown eyes to her shiny black coat -- to the splash of bright white on the tip of her tail - she is a sweetheart of a hound. Her love of life will radiate in the home lucky enough to adopt her.
