This cute little guy has been with us for a week now and in that time he has really endeared himself to us.  Here are some observations:

He is on the smaller side for a male (racing weight was 69-71 lbs), but wow can this little guy lean!  He will lean into you with his whole body.  He is such a sweet, happy guy.  His tail wags furiously and his whole body vibrates with happiness when you give him attention.  He also relaxed quickly in our house and roaches like a champ.  He sleeps peacefully through the night on a dog bed in my bedroom.  He has conquered the stairs and will now do them independently.  After one initial accident, he has had no further accidents and will let us know if he needs to go out.  Today, he discovered the toy box and pulled out every one.

Things we are working on:  Leash walking – he pulls a bit, but this will improve with practice.  Food gulping - this little guy eats with a little too much enthusiasm, swallowing large mouthfuls of food and then spitting it back out.  We have started using a slow feeder bowl and he has improved tremendously.
